March 22nd at 11am the ground of New Vision Village was broken open with over 100 of our emerging Village from our neighborhood and far away as Idaho and Connecticut The first order of business was raising the flag, with the colors being presented by the Cadets of the Mountaineer Challenge academy from Camp Dawson in Kingwood. The national anthem was sung by Susie Malloy, at 13 she is a beautiful young lady with a beautiful voice and the confidence needed to hit the right notes. Wow.
In the crowd was Mrs. Gayle Manchin the Federal Co -Chair of the Appalachian Regional Commission., Mr. Herman DeProspero the regional President of WVB and Rev. Matthew Watts the Sr. Pastor of Grace Bible church, each added their voice of support and Challenge to the developers of the Village. Special letters of support were presented from Senator Shelly Moore Caspito’s and Senator Joe Manchin’s Office. Special recognition to Doward and Twila Matlick and Laren Wood were given. Every person in attendance had their turn on the shovels, the entire group piled stones of remembrance at the based of the flag pole at the leading of pastor Johnny Whitehair of Mt. Calvary Assemble of God. The final action was for the goup to walk around the property praying at the four corners and blowing the shofar horn to drive any demons away and proclaim, Healing, Health, Salvation, Purpose and Creativity, the five Pillars of the village. On a beautiful sixty degree full sun day, the glory of the Lord was experienced by everyone in attendance, we came together and we concluded the launch with an amazing smoked brisket meal, with the works at the Chestnut Ridge Community Center.
Following lunch our Top Gun Carpenter team from around the country and locally started the work on the first tiny house that will go into the village, The first house is sponsored by the Chapel Springs Assembly of God Church, whose $100,000 gift was presented on this special day of dedication of the New Vision Village. So our cups are running over as we marked off a new promise land in the heart of God and the work of New Vision.
Thanks for your prayers and support.
